Tim Z Shi, MD, PhD is the founder and Executive Director of GlobalMD.Org Network Corporation (GlobalMD), and CEO of EC Tech, LLC. GlobalMD has developed the largest physicians database with 165 countries and more than 2.6 millions registered physician information.

Dr. Shi received his MD from the Shanghai Medical University in China in 1987 and his PhD in Neuroscience and Biochemistry from the Universities of London and Bristol in 1994. He also received his post-doc training at the Univ. of Maryland School of Medicine and as research associate working in Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Tim lives in Columbia, Maryland with his wife, a Research Associate at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. The couple has two sons, Galen 13 and Jerry 11.
