Dr. R. Bradley Sack is Professor of International Health, Division of Disease Control at the
Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Hygiene
and Public Health. He is Chair of Child Health Foundation's Board of Directors.
During his professional career of 46 years, he and his family have spent four years in Calcutta, India, one year in Lima, Peru, and
four years in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The development and promotion of Oral Rehydration Therapy has also been one of his major activities.
Dr. Sack received his MD from the University of Oregon School of Medicine and his ScD from the Johns Hopkins University.
Brad lives with his wife, Jo, in Timonium, Maryland. They have four children and six grandchildren.
My clinical training has been in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, while my research training has been in microbiology, with a
particular emphasis on infectious diarrheal diseases, both in adults and in children. I have been with the Johns Hopkins University for
the past 25 years, and am currently Professor of International Health and Medicine in the School of Hygiene and Public Health. |
