Charlene Riikonen, a founder of Child Health Foundation, is President of Cera Products, Inc., a company that designs and sells oral rehydration formulas.

Prior to helping found Child Health Foundation in 1985, Ms. Riikonen was a senior development officer at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research in Bangladesh (ICDDR,B), raising funds for medical emergency efforts, helping to develop the epidemic control preparedness program, and other training efforts.

She lives with her husband in Columbia, Maryland, has three children and is a grandmother.
